Mauri Pekkarinen, Minister of Economic Affairs of Finland
Pekkarinen´s minister career started in 1991. Pekkarinen was the Minister of the Internal Affairs and the Minister of Trade and Industry before he became the Minister of Economic Affairs in the year 2008. Pekkarinen holds a Master in Social Sciences and Honorary Doctorate of Economics from University of Jyväskylä, 2009. He holds a Doctor of Science honoris causa in Technology from Lappeenranta University, 2008.

Born in Chennai and graduate of IIT Bombay, in India, University of California Berkeley PhD, married to a Finn, and resident of Silicon Valley – these are the makings of a truly global entrepreneur. Serial Entrepreneur CV Ravi represents over 30 years of industrial and entrepreneurial experience having founded and led the co-creation of a Great Enterprise, from inception to a NASDAQ listing. Gérard de Nazelle, Founding Director of EIT. Europe is taking up the challenge posed by Asia and America by the launch of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). EIT’s Founding Director, Dr. Gérard de Nazelle – formerly global head of research and innovation for a multinational corporation – believes that Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), co-located across Europe, will be key to successful co-creation of new business and Great Enterprises, in Europe.
Tuula Teeri, Founding President of Aalto University. In Finland, high bets are placed on Aalto University, the merger of Helsinki School of Economics, Helsinki University of Technology (TKK) and University of Arts and Design Helsinki. The Founding President, Professor Tuula Teeri brings a vast international experience as innovator and scholar, both passion and discipline, to the job. Jennifer Walske, Managing Director of Myriad Investments LCC. has presented and published on emergent venture capital firms and how syndication patterns affect portfolio firm success. Dr. Walske is a member of the faculty at Haas School of business, within the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship. Prior to her career in academia, Dr. Walske founded Myriad Investments, LLC, a venture capital firm, and serves on boards of directors for both non-profit and for-profit enterprises.
Asko Kapanen, Managing Director, Partner of Knowledge Investor Comset. Business Developer with more than 15 years of experience. Entrepreneur in the IT sector, investor, co-entrepreneur and advisor to various growth companies. Asko has also been working as a coach in areas such as strategy implementation, sales, and marketing.

Sujay Santra, Founder Director of Ikure TechSoft (P) Ltd. & Innovator of WHIMS. More than 10 years of experience in software industry covering various phases of software development life cycle. Santra has became the member of IBM Innowave Premium Club. Santra has also received IBM Bravo Award in March 2006 and in the June 2006 but also Oracle Awards in the year 2006 and 2008. Santra has also run a Startup company in 2001-2002 in software development in New Delhi called Denicasoft Consulting.
Marko Seppä, Conference Chair. Marko Seppä, was apprenticed venture capitalist in a classic partnership culture, in the late 1980s. In 1991, he co-created a pioneering VC firm into the emerging markets of Russia and the Baltics and, in 2001, an ambitious e-business research center – and EBRF & V2C Forum – for a local pilot of eEurope. He currently co-creates Global Venture Lab, a university based business creation platform.
