Anne-Mari Järvelin

Anne-Mari Järvelin is a Senior Consultant at Advansis Ltd which is a consultancy company in the field of research and innovation policies. She is a coordinator of Tekes (Fnnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation) Programme Serve Pioneers of Service Business 2006-2013. She is also part of the coordination team of European Commission DG Enterprise’s innovation initiative Europe Innova. Before entering to Advansis she was a director of business development at Professia Ltd. In Professia she was involved in and responsible for activities of local Centre of Expertise Programme for Knowledge Intensive Services. Prior Professia, Järvelin used to be a Professor of Business Administration at the University of Tampere. She was founding Co-Director of e-Business Research Center (eBRC), a Tampere University of Technology and University of Tampere joint venture and Vice-Chairman of the board of eBRC. She was also a co-founder of eBRF, the biggest annual scientific conference in the field of business in Finland. During 2000-2001 she served Tampere Polytechnic University as Lecturer in Marketing and International Marketing. During 1992-2000 she served the School of Business Administration in the University of Tampere as Ph.D. student, Researcher, Assistant Professor and Professor of Marketing. She has published articles and research papers related to the service management, relationship marketing, e-business and business relationships and networks. She holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and a M.Sc. in Econ. from the University of Tampere.
